Just a heads up before you scroll, I’m very picky when it comes to RenMei content. As a teenager (and as well as when I used to be in my early 20s a few years ago) I would consume anything under the sun as long as it had these two falling in love over and over again in different interpretations, but after a significant time has passed where I have grown much more older my mid 20s, I’ve unfortunately become very particular with how I want their dynamic and relationship portrayed. I’m not saying that my tastes are the only correct way to enjoy RenMei content, nor am I saying that I’m above everyone and could write better, but there is a reason why this list isn’t exhaustive. I’m just a picky reader, that’s all.

Therefore, some things to note:

1. When it comes to RenMei, I do not tolerate rape, any forms of abuse, power imbalance, cheating / adultery or polymarous relationships. Period. Any RenMei fics that has these tropes automatically turns me off (I am especially a very strict RenMei monoshipper)

2. I am not the biggest fan when it comes to older RenMei where Ren calls Jeanne names (Such as idiot and stupid) as I personally believe in my own headcanon that adult Ren has greatly mellowed out during his older years. Again, I’m not here to judge your tastes, if that’s your thing you do you.

3. I am not a huge fan of heavy femdom. This includes pegging as well.

4. Lastly, I am NOT a huge fan of uke Ren or him being a heavy sub/bottom. Again, another instant turn off for me.
